& vb. n. Forgoing.] [OE. forgan, forgon, forgoon, AS.
forg[=a]n, prop., to go past, hence, to abstain from; pref.
for- + g[=a]n to go; akin to G. vergehen to pass away, to
transgress. See Go, v. i.]
